The Affiliation Specialist is responsible for verification of pharmacy affiliation status, including implementation and verification of 835 file onboarding process, PSAO contract affiliation, standalone service adds, assisting pharmacies with their direct contract affiliation, and processing immediate and 30-day termination notices.
The Affiliation Specialist works closely with Credentialing and Pharmacy Services to ensure timely, accurate affiliation of new pharmacy enrollments to PBM agreements. He/she is primarily responsible for processing necessary enrollment paperwork to obtain 835 files and to support central pay/non-central pay functions. He/she also works closely with EDI to verify that 835 files are connected appropriately.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Sedentary work requiring the following physical activities: sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity
Lifting of up to 20 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment
Conducting work in a business environment (e.g., desk, table) that can facilitate the use of two computer monitors
