We’re passionate about community pharmacy—many of our leaders have decades of experience in the pharmacy industry, while others have a rich background in their focus areas from a variety of industries.

Executive Leadership

Melanie Maxwell

President

Melanie is an industry-leading expert with a deep passion for community pharmacy and more than 30 years of experience in pharmacy administration. She brings a strategic, solutions-driven approach to helping pharmacies thrive in an increasingly complex healthcare landscape.

Her extensive industry expertise began with third-party contract negotiation for a regional chain pharmacy, followed by managing and directing pharmacy programs for a health maintenance organization. In 2010, Melanie joined Pharmacy Providers of Oklahoma’s (PPOk) PSAO division, where she played a key role in developing innovative programs to address the everyday challenges faced by community pharmacy owners.

Throughout her tenure at PPOk, Melanie contributed across multiple operational areas, including contracting, credentialing, compliance, reconciliation, audit services, and clinical pharmacy networks. Her broad perspective and hands-on experience have made her a trusted resource for pharmacies navigating payor relationships and operational demands.

Melanie has served on a national PBM Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee and multiple pharmacy advisory boards. Her leadership and commitment continue to drive best-in-class solutions that strengthen community pharmacy and support long-term sustainability.

Don Meredith

Executive VP, Information Technology

Don brings more than 20 years of experience delivering best-in-class technology solutions across a wide range of industries, including healthcare. He has held multiple senior IT leadership roles and is recognized for driving process improvements, strengthening software delivery practices, and modernizing enterprise IT infrastructure. Prior to joining AlignRx, Don served as VP of Information Technology at a healthcare IT company specializing in claims cost management and payment solutions. He also taught computer science at University of Alabama.

Todd Wormington

Executive VP, Pharmacy Operations

Todd is a strategic leader in the community pharmacy industry with more than 30 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist. His background includes deep expertise in clinical quality initiatives and business development, with a strong commitment to supporting independent retail pharmacies. Throughout his career, Todd has collaborated closely with leading retail pharmacy technology partners, including pharmacy systems vendors and robotics companies. He is driven by a passion for delivering exceptional service solutions for community pharmacies.

Cheryl Hoffer

Senior VP, Pharmacy Solutions

Cheryl brings a broad and diverse pharmacy background to AlignRx, with 40 years of experience spanning marketing, managed health care, PSAOs, MTM platforms, academia, and state pharmacy associations. She leverages deep expertise in program development and implementation, payor contracting, operations, and relationship management to deliver best-in-class services for community pharmacies. Cheryl’s career includes leadership roles with Medicine Shoppe International, Inc./Cardinal Health, Mirixa, Missouri Pharmacy Association, St. Louis College of Pharmacy, and PPOk.

Kerry Trueman

VP, Sales & Marketing

Kerry brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to AlignRx, spanning technology, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and risk management. She combines expertise in marketing strategy, branding, and sales enablement to strengthen brands, engage customers, and drive growth. Her career includes leadership roles with communications and branding firms, as well as founding and leading her own marketing consultancy, where she developed strategies for diverse clients and partnered with leadership teams to deliver results.

Nathan Young

VP, Finance

Nathan brings over 20 years of healthcare finance and strategic leadership experience to the team. He specializes in driving operational efficiency through process optimization, financial controls, technical accounting, and financial reporting. Prior to joining AlignRx, Nathan held senior finance roles at Healthcare Partners Investments and Claimetrics. He has a background in Big 4 public accounting, is a licensed CPA, and serves in various community leadership roles.
